The title of my debut EP I’m only Hugh, man... represents my belief that I am just like everybody else; I don't put myself on a pedestal or believe I am hip hop’s saviour. I’m just here to make music and to try to make people think. My EP is a reflection of my life in the Northern Territory and how I perceive it. There’re stories on it you won’t hear in big cities; they’re stories that could only happen in a small town – a small, constantly confronting, incredibly complex, bloody beautiful place – in the centre of the country.
